Republic of Turkey Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) announced the airline plane, passenger and freight statistics for February 2021.
Passengers met with the comfort of the airline at our environmentally and passenger-friendly airports, where all necessary measures were taken for the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic.
In February, when the number of aircraft landing and taking off at our airports reached 45.694 on domestic lines and 16.927 on international flights, a total of 75.034 aircraft traffic was realized with overpasses.
This month, Turkey serving domestic airports in overall traffic of 3.722.311 passengers, international passenger traffic was 1.668.444. In this month, a total of 5.392.419 passengers were served, including direct transit passengers.
Airport freight (cargo, mail and baggage) traffic; In February, it was 38.302 tons on domestic lines, 147.758 tons on international lines and 186.060 tons in total.
1.647.756 PASSENGERS WERE SERVED AT ISTANBUL AIRPORT IN FEBRUARY
Aircraft traffic that landed and took off at Istanbul Airport in February reached 3.882 in total, 10.009 on domestic lines and 13.891 on international flights.
In February, this airport served a total of 459.053 passengers, 1.188.703 on domestic flights and 1.647.756 on international routes.
In February, 2.846 aircraft traffic was realized at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, where general aviation activities and cargo transportation continue.
Thus, a total of 16.737 aircraft traffic was realized at these two airports.
APPROXIMATELY 11 MILLION PASSENGER SERVED IN TWO MONTHS
According to the two-month (January-February) realizations; Aircraft traffic landing and taking off at airports was 85.749 on domestic lines and 36.699 on international flights. Thus, a total of 148.768 aircraft traffic was realized, including overpasses.
Domestic passenger traffic in airports across Turkey of 7.088.345 of the 3.526.756 international passengers traffic in this period were given a total of 10.619.871 passengers with direct transit passengers.
During the period in question, the freight (cargo, post and baggage) traffic of the airports; 75.017 tons in domestic lines and 298.184 tons in international lines.
28.965 aircraft and 3.329.488 passenger traffic were realized at Istanbul Airport in a period of two months. In the same period, there was 5.678 aircraft traffic at Istanbul Atatürk Airport. Thus, a total of 34.643 aircraft traffic was realized in these two airports in the same period.
