Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its efforts to make Antalya a smart and sustainable city, is installing a 'Roof Type Solar Power Plant and Electricity Storage System' on the roof of the service building. When the project, in which the works started, will realize approximately 260 kWh of energy generation and 250 kWh of energy storage.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality will be the first municipality to produce and store its energy. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is implementing infrastructure studies and exemplary projects in order to find solutions to the current and future problems of the city. Within the scope of the MAtchUP Project in the field of energy efficiency, a "Roof Type Solar Power Plant and Electricity Storage System" is installed on the roof of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Service Building.

INSTALLATION STARTED

In the project, the works of which have been started, the steel construction legs, on which solar panels will be placed, are installed on the roof of the Municipality service building. When the project is completed, approximately 260 kWh of energy will be produced and 250 kWh of energy will be stored on the municipal roof. In the second phase of the project, Antalya Transportation Inc. in Kepez District. GES will also be installed on the roof of the tram workshop building. When the two-stage project is completed, a total of 340 kW hours of energy generation and 400 kW hours of energy storage will be realized on the roof of the municipal service building and tram workshop.

With the project, an average of 1 TWh of clean energy will be produced annually as 100 percent renewable, and 500 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emission will be prevented. Thanks to the modular structure of the project, electric vehicles and other systems can be charged with 100 percent clean energy.
