Stating that the infrastructure and superstructure construction works are continuing meticulously at Çukurova Airport, Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that the infrastructure construction of the Airport started at the beginning of 2017. Karaismailoğlu, who noted that 92,3 percent physical realization has been achieved so far, said that they plan to complete the project by the end of the year.
Karaismailoğlu said: “Within the scope of our project; We are building a parallel taxiway of the same length as the runway of 3500 meters long. We also envisage 30 high-speed taxiways of 4 meters each and the same length and number of connection taxiways. Along with the apron of 1000 meters by 243 meters, we are also building a special aircraft apron measuring 464 x 120 meters. The cargo terminal apron of our airport will be 252 × 243 meters in size. While two ground services vehicle parks are being built, guard boxes and perimeter security road will be constructed together with the perimeter fence of the project. "
