According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, who published a post titled Convenient and Practical, 2013 million transportation cards have been sold since the smart card Troika was introduced in 36.

It used to be very normal to spend 15-20 minutes in the morning queue at the ticket office. Now the ticket vending machines and Troika are out and the card queues are over! Sergei Sobyanin writes that since 8 years 36 million cards have been sold and with their help, more than 90% of the trips on the subway have been made.

Also, on his blog, the Mayor of Moscow spoke in detail about other popular services of the Moscow Metro, such as Passenger Mobility Service, SIM card sales, Books in Metroproject, and information displays. According to the mayor, about 4 thousand Moscow Metro vehicles are currently equipped with information displays - this is more than 17.7 thousand media screens. By 2023, this number will increase to 6 thousand, and it will be 87% of the total number of metro wagons operated.

Sergei Sobyanin also noted that music has existed in the Moscow Metro since at least 1992 and was legalized in 1016. Before the pandemic, approximately 90 thousand concerts were given in the parades and lobbies of the stations.
