While the non-payment of IMM's share on Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge was considered as a violation by the Court of Accounts, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu claimed that the application was in compliance with the legislation.

The share that should be transferred to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) for vehicles passing through the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge has not been paid for years.

According to the report of Hüseyin Şimşek from Birgün; The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure did not agree with this opinion, which was also included in the pre-audit report of the TCA, and did not do what is necessary.

HDP MP Oya Ersoy brought the unpaid bridge fee, which caused a dispute between IMM and the General Directorate of Highways, to the agenda of the TGNA.

With the request of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu, to answer the motion submitted to the Presidency of the Assembly, it was reminded that the Treasury pays a guarantee to the company every year since the predicted number of vehicles did not pass through the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which was implemented with the 'build, operate, transfer' model.

In the proposal, “In 2019, approximately 3 billion TL was paid to the company by the Treasury. It was reflected that 10 percent of the revenues collected from the vehicles passing through the third bridge of the company and the guarantee amount paid by the state to the company should be transferred to the municipality but not transferred ”.

WARRANTY PAYMENT WITHOUT ANSWER

In the proposal, it was asked why the amounts that need to be transferred to IMM were not transferred and how much was paid to the company in four years for vehicles that did not cross the bridge. The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu, did not disclose the amounts paid to the company, but claimed that it was "in compliance with the legislation" regarding the application of non-payment to IMM.
