The National Space Program, which has been awaited for years, was announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential National Congress and Culture Center on February 9, 2021. While micro and mini satellites, which are relatively lighter than large satellites, will be launched at this facility, I think heavy satellites / payloads will be launched into space within the scope of the Space Port. While the construction of the Micro Satellite Launch Facility (MUFT) was underway, the location and status information of the facility was not shared.

Lately, the growing bilateral relations with many countries Turkey said the Space Port for the appropriate geographic region with countries hosting potential friends and allies. The location information of the port planned to be built in the future and with which country the agreement will be made will become clear.
