UZUNGÖL 1st STAGE STUDIES COMPLETED

Stating that the Uzungöl 2nd stage project work has come to an end, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “We are working on the project together with our Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. There will be very nice touches in the 2nd stage works of Uzungöl. After finalizing the project, we will realize our project by going to the stage by stage tender. Our approach will be to completely open up the lake. We are trying to create a much greener lake environment. Our goal is to reveal a much different Uzungöl by the end of 2022. It will be a much greener, transportation and park issue resolved, and Uzungöl will have its infrastructure, superstructure, roads, sidewalks, landscape and the Metropolitan Municipality itself. In addition, we will operate the gift shops as the Metropolitan Municipality. Sümela Monastery is currently a place on UNESCO's World Heritage Tentative List. With the process we have started, we will complete the work for the Sümela Monastery to be included in the World Heritage List in the coming years. And Sümela Monastery will now become a much better known destination in the world that visitors will want to come to, ”he said.

We will take our visitors to this area in a much more comfortable and safe way by minibuses, with a ring-shaped transportation system, and then bring them back to the parking lot where their vehicles are located. Thus, the traffic jam will be largely eliminated. While doing this, we also considered the necessary precaution for our citizens who will go to Çakırgöl, the plateaus and villages above. We have created a new 11-kilometer road that will not be a problem, ”he said.

THE HIDDEN PARADISE ÇAL CAVE IS INTERESTING

Stating that Atatürk Mansion, one of the important historical and touristic places of Trabzon, attracts great attention by local and foreign tourists, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “Atatürk Mansion is a very important area of ​​our city in terms of tourism on the one hand, but on the other hand, the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk , a place with memories. It is a very important place for us in both respects. Partial work was done in 2014 and 2016. After taking office, we established a commission including our expert professors in order to carry out a much more comprehensive study in terms of both the exterior and the interior of the furniture and the landscape. We will move the Atatürk Pavilion, for which restoration work has been created, to a better spot. Despite the coronavirus epidemic process, Atatürk Mansion attracted great attention from our local and foreign tourists this year. The existing tea gardens look like very old years. In order to make Boztepe much more attractive for people, we will bring it to Trabzon with a viewing terrace, wooden walkways, better quality tea gardens, resting, eating and drinking places, lighting and parking facilities. "We will make Boztepe aesthetically beautiful and make it more useful for our people."

THE GIRLS MONASTERY IS READY TO OPEN

Providing information about the Girls Monastery, one of the important tourism destinations whose restoration has been completed, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “The ownership of the monastery has been transferred to the Metropolitan Municipality as of December 2019. Our Girls' Monastery, one of the distinguished venues of our city, will contribute to tourism as a culture and art center in every field of art, from music to theater, from painting to literature, with its new face. Without the coronavirus process, we would have already opened the Girls' Monastery, whose work was completed and was also illuminated at night. When we open, our Girls' Monastery will also be an important destination center ”.

WORKS IN BARMA PLATEAU DO NOT DECREASE
