Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Murat Zorluoğlu continues to sign vision projects to increase the attractiveness of the city. President Zorluoğlu, who clearly identifies what needs to be done from the very first day and intensifies his work in this direction, gains the appreciation of all segments with the projects he has announced.
Mayor Zorluoğlu, who did not leave a door in Ankara at the point of getting the service that Trabzon deserves, shows his difference with his understanding of social municipality. Zorluoğlu, who takes care to examine the projects on site at every opportunity, listens to their troubles and demands by not leaving the tradesmen and citizens alone for a moment. Citizens from Trabzon also express on many platforms that they are extremely pleased to have an accessible president who is in constant communication with them. Despite the coronavirus epidemic, President Zorluoğlu, who did not reduce the pace of work for a moment, made statements informing the public about the latest status of the work carried out for the growth and development of Trabzon in every field.

WE WILL BE A CAR WORTH OF OUR CITY
President Zorluoğlu stated that the bus station issue was at the top of the complaints he received during the election works and said, “The Intercity Bus Terminal was an important problem that has become a bleeding wound of the city in recent years. Although the current bus station could not meet the need, it did not suit Trabzon in terms of appearance. Renovation of the bus station 40 years ago was among our election promises. As soon as he took office, we detected the location. We will move the bus station from its current location to the area where the Galericiler Site and our Science Works are located. At this point, we completed our project work, which is the first step to make a terminal worthy of the city, and made its tender. It is a very important project for Trabzon. It will add value to the region, the new bus station, which our Trabzon has been waiting for for many years, will bring a completely different look to the city as an extremely modern work. "We are moving to open our new bus station at the beginning of 2022," he said.
GANİTA-FAROZ PROJECT WILL BE COMPLETED IN 1 YEAR
President Zorluoğlu said in his assessment of the highly anticipated Ganita-Faroz Project, “The Ganita - Faroz Project is among our vision projects that we attach great importance to. Ganita used to be one of the most important haunts of Trabzon. It has been a little idle for a long time. We want to bring Ganita back to the city and make it a place where people from Trabzon can rest, spend time and meet the sea. It has been a project that we have been working on for a year and worked hard. The tender of our project, which will cost about 70 million lira, was made. We are planning to start working around the beginning of March. We want to create a very different destination from Ganita to Faroz within 1 year. We will do piers for our citizens and amateur fishermen, and innovative applications for our children and youth. The walking and cycling paths we will build from Ganita to Faroz will join with the axle that exists after Faroz until Beşirli. Our goal is for our fellow townspeople to go from Ganita to Akyazı Stadium by bicycle, skateboard and roller skates. This important project, which will make a great contribution to the reconciliation of our citizens with the beach, is already good for our Trabzon ”.
A NEW POTTERY IS BUILT
Providing information about the urban transformation works in Çömlekçi District, which has been on the agenda for a long time in Trabzon, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “We have made a great progress in Çömlekçi. A new project was prepared for Çömlekçi with the support of our deputies and with the contribution of our Mayor of Ortahisar. 1st stage project was tendered, site delivery and contract were made. We started to build a brand new Çömlekçi Quarter in an area of 2,3 hectares in the eastern part of Çömlekçi. 106 flats and 20 workplaces will be built in this section. Our 2nd stage works continue at full speed. Within the scope of expropriation procedures, we agree with some of our right holders for flat, and we will make an agreement with some of them through expropriation method. Our goal is to complete the expropriation process as soon as possible and to make the project and tender of this region. I hope the new Çömlekçi District will have a look that will add beauty to the beauty of our Trabzon in a short time.
YALINCAK BEACH WILL BE READY FOR SUMMER
Stating that they are working in various ways to bring Trabzon to the sea, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “We are building a beach in Yalıncak. There is an area of 900 meters starting from the east of Ramada Hotel. We made the tender for our beach project. Along with the beach, it will be a project that will add value to our city with walking paths, parking lots, parking areas, small-scale eating and drinking places. Our goal is to train the beach for the summer season. It will be the first beach of Trabzon built in this way by the Metropolitan Municipality. When it is completed, we think it will be a good service that our citizens will be pleased with ”.
SPORTS THEMED NATIONAL GARDEN WILL OPEN IN MARCH
Mayor Zorluoğlu, who also made statements about the point reached in the works of Ortahisar National Garden, said, “In Trabzon, we aim to offer the first phase of Ortahisar National Garden, which is under construction on 62 decares by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, to the service of citizens in March. Ortahisar National Garden is a prestige project for our Trabzon. The area where Avni Aker Stadium is located is a very important center of our city. A place that is in everyone's memories. For this reason, we wanted the Trabzon National Garden to be a little more sports-themed unlike other nation gardens and we continue our work in this direction. Our citizens will be able to benefit from the sports-themed national garden 54 hours a day, 1 days a week.
WE PROVIDE TRABZON ICE SKATING AND SKATE Rink
Emphasizing that they made additions to the National Garden Project as the Metropolitan Municipality, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “There was no parking lot in the project, we included a closed parking lot in the project. We want a living park. For this reason, we wanted to add an ice skating rink that never existed in Trabzon. We carry out its construction as Büyükşehir. We are building a synthetic ice skating rink on an area of 400 square meters, it is largely completed. We are also making 600 ramps and bowl mechanisms for skateboarding in an area of 8 square meters. We are trying to make this area much more attractive for our children and young people. On the other hand, while the nation garden in Akçaabat district was offered to the service of our citizens a while ago, the nation garden with the theme 'Vakfıkebir bread' is about to be completed in Vakfıkebir district, ”he said.
IMAGE POLLUTION REMOVED
Providing information about the Facade Rehabilitation Project, which has given a new look to the Meydan area of Trabzon, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “It was a nice work that suits our city very well. We were very meticulous. We overhauled 13 buildings, 45 of which were registered, around the square, signage and visual pollution was completely eliminated. Historical buildings were repaired and brought to the fore. I also liked the result. Lighting is also complete. Now our historical buildings will look more beautiful in the evening. Then, our project work on Uzun Sokak, Maraş and Kunduracılar Caddesi continues ”.
WILL ADD BEAUTY TO THE BEAUTY OF THE SQUARE
Making statements about the 3rd stage works of the Square, Zorluoğlu said, “The multi-storey car park project for the 3rd stage works of the Square has been completed and we have realized its tender. We started the process of reconstruction of our existing İskenderpaşa car park, with a living space above it and a capacity of approximately 500 cars underneath. Excavations are currently in progress. This work also greatly expands the pedestrianized area. We close this area to vehicle traffic. When the 3rd stage works, realized with the build-operate-transfer model, are completed, they will add beauty to the beauty of Meydan ”.
THE CITY'S CONSTITUTION FOR TRANSPORTATION
Emphasizing that the Transportation Master Plan is the constitution of a city in the field of transportation, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “The Transportation Master Plan is one of the works that we have taken steps in Trabzon for many years. Its tender was made. In the coming days, we will sign the contract and start work. We are conducting a study that will include the dynamics of the city and our university. With the plan, the transportation situation of Trabzon will be examined and revealed with scientific methods in detail. The Transportation Master Plan will produce real solutions to the transportation problems of our city in many ways. That's why we attach great importance to this project ”.
WOMEN'S CARPET CONSTRUCTION IS RISING RAPIDLY
Stating that they have demolished the women's state and reconstructed it in accordance with its historical texture, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “Women's State is a very important project for us. We worked closely with the Museum and Conservation Board. From time to time, buildings emerged, those structures were technically examined by the relevant boards. There are currently no problems and the construction process continues rapidly. We are working hard to complete our project, which will cost approximately 15 million liras, in a short time ”.
