The second phase of the Mersin Metro tender, which was evaluated by Mersin Metropolitan Mayor Vahap Seçer as a vision project for Mersin and whose Pre-Qualification Tender was held on October 9, will be held tomorrow. The tender, which will be broadcast live from the social media accounts of the Metropolitan Municipality, will be held at 14.00 at the Transportation Department's Meeting Hall.
10 bidders will participate in the tender
The Prequalification Tender for the Metro, which was tendered for the Construction and Electromechanical Systems of the Mezitli-3 Ocak Light Rail System Metro Line, was held on October 9 in the meeting room of the Transportation Department. 13 offers were submitted to the tender with the participation of many companies, including domestic and foreign business partners. In the detailed evaluations made by the tender commission, 9 offers were found sufficient, while 4 offers were not found sufficient. 2 bidders were invited to the 10nd stage of the Metro tender with the participation of one more bidder who was given a proposal for a re-evaluation by the Public Procurement Authority.
"A civilization project, a social project"
President Seçer, who frequently mentions the importance of the metro project and shares the details, said, “We want to bring together the Mediterranean Mezitli, Yenişehir, Taurus and all the people of the region with the rail system. Therefore, I do not see it as a project that will only solve a public transportation or traffic problem. A civilization project, a social project. As a continuation of this project, in the second stage; "We will start from Siteler with a 9.8 km, level rail system from Mersin CNR EXPO Fair Center to Mersin University and Mersin University Hospital and 11.2 km, with level rail system, we will end at Kurdali, Çağdaşkent, Mersinli Ahmet Caddesi, Mersin City Hospital and finally at the Bus Station."
