South Marmara Motorway Route Finalized

The route of the South Marmara Motorway, which will pass through Karamürsel, Gölcük, Başiskele and Kartepe, the construction of which turns into a snake story and which many people are eagerly waiting for has been determined. For the second time, for the South Marmara Highway, which was brought to the agenda by the AKP government about 10 years ago, a second tender for study and project consultancy services will be made. The company, which received the tender for the study project and consultancy service in December 2019, said that it could not do the job due to economic reasons and liquidated the business. After 1 year after the liquidation process, a new tender study was carried out. The tender, whose pre-qualification meeting was completed in January, will be held on Wednesday, March 24 at 11.00 at the Highways 1st Regional Directorate.

An important step was taken for the highway work, which is the great expectation of the citizens in the region where the South Marmara Motorway will pass. After the survey and project service tender, the construction tender will be made. The company, which will receive the tender for Yalova-Izmit Highway (including connection roads) survey and project consultancy service to be held on March 24, is expected to complete the tender within 700 working days. The companies listed in the pre-qualification tender evaluation will be invited to the tender on January 12th.
