Gender Equality International Cartoon Contest organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has been concluded. Seyran Caferli from Azerbaijan won the first prize in the competition, in which 62 cartoonists from 549 countries participated with 672 works.

The International Cartoon Contest for Gender Equality, organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which has carried out important works with the title of “Women-friendly city”, has been concluded. 62 thousand 549 artists from 672 countries participated in the work from the first prize in the contest from Azerbaijan Seyran Caferli, Swiss Ernst Mattiello the second prize, while the third prize received aytoslu Halit Freed from Turkey. Honorable mention awards went to Luc Vernimmen from Belgium, Abdul Arif from Indonesia and Galym Boranbayev from Kazakhstan.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality aims to raise awareness on gender equality by exhibiting the winning and award-winning works in the city. The works will also be opened to visitors at Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center and Bıçakçı Han as part of the 8 March events and will be collected in an album.
