WHO Included the Laboratory in Wuhan on the Reference Laboratory List

The World Health Organization (WHO), which continues its studies and examinations in Wuhan, also visited the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory (P4 Laboratory). During the visit, the application of the P4 Laboratory to be among the reference laboratories of WHO was also accepted.

The WHO team, who went to the center yesterday, received detailed information from the authorities at the center and made scientific contacts. The team of experts stated that, thanks to the visit, they saw the institute's professionalism and meticulousness in the field of scientific research of the virus. Ideas were exchanged on subjects such as the institute's scientific research studies, laboratory biosafety management, international scientific research cooperation and the results obtained in combating the epidemic.
