In order to benefit more from the sea in Ordu, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. The Stagnant Water Sports Center project, which was initiated by Mehmet Hilmi Güler's initiatives, is progressing rapidly.
The tender of the project, which will be implemented in an area of 1.100 meters in total, next to Ordu-Giresun Airport in Gülyalı district, was also held. The Metropolitan Municipality will bring Ordu to a position to host international races by putting the project into service with the work of the relevant departments.
FULLY EQUIPPED FACILITY
Within the scope of the project, a total of 400 people tribune, 1 protocol lodge, 1 race finish observation tower with photo finish camera, 6 portable floating docks, 100-vehicle spectator parking area, 20-vehicle trailer parking area, 300 meters boathouse, 400 meters sales and promotion area, 1.142 meters of vehicle and bicycle path, a crossing bridge over the creek exit and accommodation area for referees and athletes will be created.
WORKS FULL GAS
Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Coşkun Alp said that a significant progress has been made within the scope of the project.
Secretary General Alp continued his words as follows: Within the scope of our Stagnant Water Sports Center project, which we started to work in the area next to the airport in Gülyalı district with the instructions of our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, we traveled 2 km to the facility. We created a depth of 100 meters by extracting 3 thousand cubic meters of material from the sea. The deepening process is in progress. Again, we built parking lots inside the facility. We manufactured 4 culverts, and renewed the drinking water and sewer lines. We create landscape areas that will add visuality to the facility by constructing a 650 meter long and 1,5 meter high wall. We aim to complete the construction works in a short time and move on to landscape works. "
TENDER FOR CONSTRUCTION
Secretary General Alp said that the superstructure tender was also carried out in the project. Within the scope of the tender, the Chocolate Park D Block arrangement, observation tower, four 4-person tribunes, light steel prefabricated boathouse, various prefabricated WC-shower, changing cabin and floating platform, infrastructure and landscaping works and the existing guesthouse building will be renovated.
