Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, stated that the signaling system installations on the Konya-Karaman High Speed ​​Train line have been completed.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, who held a meeting with TCDD officials regarding the work on the Konya-Karaman YHT line within the scope of the Konya-Karaman-Ulukışla YHT Project, stated that the signaling system installations were completed on the Konya-Karaman YHT line and that test drives will begin on February 8.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, stating that they continue to implement important projects that add value to the country one by one and that they have knitted the country with iron nets with the innovative railway reform, heralded that the Konya-Karaman YHT line is coming to an end.

Emphasizing the importance of the Konya-Karaman-Ulukışla YHT Project, Minister Karaismailoğlu reminded that by making four lines between Mersin and Adana, additional capacity will be created for high-speed trains and suburban trains, and the connection between Mersin Port and Yenice Logistics Center will be strengthened.

Karasiamiloğlu said, “Within the scope of the project, it is planned to construct a high speed train line between Konya, Karaman and Adana at a speed of 200 km / h, and to transfer the cargo coming from Konya and Ulukışla to Mersin and İskenderun ports faster. The line capacity, which is 34 double trains per day, will increase 3 times. Travel time from 1 hour and 15 minutes will be reduced to 35 minutes. The connection between Mersin Port and Yenice Logistics Center will be strengthened, ”he said.

Hopefully, our goal is to start operating by the end of May. Again, our work continues rapidly in our Karaman-Ulukışla line.

"Surrounding Provinces Will Also Benefit From Ankara-Sivas YHT Service"

Reminding that the first performance test of the Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​Train Project was successfully completed, Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that the distance between Ankara and Sivas will decrease to 2 hours; He said: “High Speed ​​Train and road or conventional trains serve together. Neighboring provinces will also benefit from YHT service. "

When the project is completed, uninterrupted transportation will be provided to Karaman-Konya-Eskişehir-Bilecik-Istanbul, Karaman-Konya-Ankara and Sivas when it is opened.
