According to the report of Meral Danyıldız from Birgün; “Mısra Öz, who lost her son Oğuz Arda in the Çorlu Train Massacre, in which 7 people, 25 of whom were children, lost their lives, appeared before the judge on charges of 'insulting public officials' due to her social media posts. The court board ruled that Öz was fined 8 thousand 840 TL for the allegation of insulting public officials.

Öz, who lost his son Oğuz Arda and was defendant while waiting for justice, spoke to BirGün regarding the verdict. "Frankly, today I and those who have even the slightest belief in justice did not expect me to receive this punishment," Öz said: "When I look at today's landscape, the only thing I see is that the judiciary is under someone's control. I also told the judge himself this because he had some words when explaining the decision given to me. He said, 'A decision was announced here and I made the most possible decision as a result of this decision'. He said that we had the right to appeal within seven days, and that we could appeal. I have only one thing to say, I do not take the punishments given to me seriously. These are really embarrassing things. It is really embarrassing to sue families, sue lawyers, sue the journalist following the case. "

Saying that he wanted the real perpetrators to be tried in the Çorlu Massacre, Öz noted that there is still no serious process in the case, which will complete almost three years:

“It has been almost three years in our case and they still bring 4 lower-level officers as defendants. When we go to the prosecutor and ask about the expert report, he is constantly postponed, saying, "It will come in a week, it will come in 10 days, there is nothing to do," and so on. 7 people died in Çorlu, 25 of them children. From the State Railways Administration, the Ministry of Transport, who are responsible for this, I believe that anyone who does not control, does not make their tenders or does not control them should be brought to justice. These people have never been brought to justice. They can give me the punishment they want, let them take me to Silivri, wherever they want to cram, whatever they want to do.
