The tram line project, whose first excavation was shot in front of the Arsenal and City Hospital in January, started in the third branch, Bekirdere. The 284 million lira project is planned to be completed in 2 years.

According to the report of Süriye Çatak Tek from Özgürkocaeli; The work of the tram line, which was designed to provide transportation between Kocaeli City Hospital and the city center, started in January. The work that started in front of the Armory and City Hospital also started in Bekirdere. The works that did not start in the city center due to the lack of implementation projects in the first stage started with the completion of the plan. The tram line is expected to be completed within two years.

STARTED IN JANUARY

The tender for the City Hospital Tram Line, which was transferred to the Ministry of Transport by the Metropolitan Municipality, was held on September 17. Site delivery was made on October 30, within the framework of the tender won by Eze Construction. Due to the lack of a construction site, the work schedule was delayed for months. Later, Eze İnşaat bought the construction site used by the Highways to construct the connection roads of the City Hospital. With the discovery of the construction site, construction started in January.

STARTED IN BEKİRDERE

The construction of the tram line started in front of the hospital and in the Arsenal area, after completing the connection roads of the Highways in the City Hospital, which was founded in 2015 and could not be completed for 5 years. While a feverish work continues in the arsenal with the retaining walls and the excavation continues for the tunnel passage in front of the hospital. After working in two regions in January, work has now started in Bekirdere.

284 MILLION INVESTMENT

The tram line to be built to the City Hospital will be 3,1 kilometers long and consists of 5 stations. The line, which has a design speed of 50 kilometers / hour, will also be integrated into the Otogar and Kuruçeşme lines. Thanks to the project, 39 thousand additional passengers will arrive on the tram line per day and the traffic density in the city center will decrease. The project is planned to be completed in 2 years. The tram line will cost 284 million lira.
