President of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir shared a video on his Twitter account about the Atmaca anti-ship missile developed with national facilities on January 4, 2021. In the content of the video, it is seen that the target was successfully destroyed by the Atmaca missile fired from the F-514 KINALIADA corvette. The Atmaca missile is expected to enter mass production in 2021. The KTJ-3200 engine, which is planned to power the SOM cruise missile, will be used in the Atmaca anti-ship missile, whose first warheaded test video has been published.

Atmaca Gemis Missile
ATMACA will be used instead of US-based Harpoon missiles used as surface-to-surface missile systems. ATMACA cruise missiles are produced locally by Roketsan, fire control systems and other equipment ASELSAN. ATMACAs will be integrated into MİLGEMs and will further increase our deterrence in the seas.
The ATMACA Missile, which can be used in all weather conditions, is effective against still and moving targets with its resistance to countermeasures, target updating, retargeting, mission termination capacity and advanced mission planning system (3D routing / 3D routing). ATMACA, just like the cruise missile SOM produced by TÜBİTAK-SAGE, ascends to a higher altitude when it approaches the target and dives 'from above' to the target ship.
ATMACA has Global Positioning System, Inertial Measurement Unit, Barometric Altimeter, Radar Altimeter capabilities and locates its target with its active radar scanner with high accuracy. The hawk missile has a diameter of 350 mm and a wingspan of 1,4 meters. Atmaca threatens its target beyond the line of sight with a range of 220+ km and a capacity of 250 kg High Explosive Penetrating Warhead. Data link capability provides Atmaca with target updating, retargeting and task termination features.
It was reported that the ATMACA cruise missile will have land-to-ground versions.
Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir stated in a statement in September 2020 that the land-to-ground versions of the ATMACA cruise missile were being worked on. In his speech, İsmail Demir stated that this capability can be achieved with the changes to be made on the ATMACA anti-ship cruise missile. Underlining that the Turkish Defense Industry has matured projects and products over air-to-sea, air-to-sea, and sea-to-sea cruise missiles, he said that there are activities aimed at developing cruise missiles from land to land.
