SOCAR AVIATION, one of the three largest companies that meet the fuel needs of the Turkish aviation industry, launched its own supply facility at Adnan Menderes Airport. It is planned to provide fuel to nine thousand aircraft annually through the facility.

Turkey's largest foreign direct investor in Turkey, SOCAR, SOCAR AVIATION growing brand with Turkish aviation sector, the supply of fuel from the Adnan Menderes Airport in İzmir will now make its own facility. SOCAR Turkey's State Airports Administration (SAMA) tender by SOCAR AVIATION taken into operation after winning with the brand Adnan Menderes Supply Plant, the first refueling December 5th 2020, Turkish Airlines (THY) has conducted.

FUEL WILL BE SUPPLYED TO 9 THOUSAND AIRCRAFT PER YEAR

SOCAR facilities along with Adnan Menderes in Turkey, was spent its second airlift facility. Adnan Menderes Supply Facility, which received Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) license after the modification and licensing procedures of SOCAR AVIATION, has two jet fuel tanks with a capacity of 750 cubic meters. Established on a total area of ​​2.500 square meters, the facility has an annual fuel capacity of 182 thousand cubic meters with its current infrastructure. This capacity corresponds to 60 percent of the total consumption of the airport. In this context, it is anticipated that approximately nine thousand aircraft will be refueled annually.

SOCAR AVIATION has become the jet fuel supplier of many airports in aviation activities that it started in 2013. It now meets the fuel needs of Muğla Milas-Bodrum and Izmir Adnan Menderes airports, where it provides refueling from its own facility, as well as Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen, Antalya, Muğla Dalaman, Ankara Esenboğa, Trabzon, Samsun Çarşamba, Adana, Istanbul IGA airports.
