The prototype of the Maglev train, which can travel faster than 600 kilometers per hour, which is seen as a kind of "laboratory toy" by the designers, was made by Chinese engineers.
The train, which was lifted from the ground with magnetic power, called Maglev, and went in the air, was tested in China. Designed to speed up to 620 kilometers per hour, the train operates according to the principle of extreme conductivity that occurs at very low temperatures. Some experts speculate that such trains can reach speeds in excess of a thousand kilometers per hour in vacuum tubes.
China is the country with the first commercial Maglev line. The said line "Shanghai Transrapid" train operates and can reach a maximum speed of 430 kilometers per hour. While Japan is China's biggest competitor in this area, the designers of the newly introduced train state that Chinese technology is much more economical than Japanese technology.
Indeed, the cost of building a new Maglev line is between 250 and 300 million yuan per kilometer. However, this cost may drop further in mass use of Maglev.
Trains called Maglev technically enable them to move in the air without touching the rails by using the power of a magnet with the same pole to repel each other. Thanks to this technological innovation, the friction between rails and wheels is eliminated and energy loss is eliminated.
