Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) provided financial support to families in need in order to be in solidarity with people whose income decreased or disappeared during the pandemic period, distributed free Halk Süt, offered cheap bread, and delivered aid packages. In addition to the support it offers to low-income families, which has many examples, IMM has started aid campaigns as of March 2020 to reach more people. Donations collected for people with low income made hundreds of thousands of people breathe a little.

IMM has included new modules in the Suspended Bill, which includes families and individuals it determines to be in need. With the Family Support, Mother-Baby Support and Education Support packages added, the philanthropists started to support basic needs in addition to the suspended bills.

With the Family Support Package, more than 7 households with income below the neediness limit have been supported so far. Approximately 500 thousand families whose poverty has deepened due to having 0 or more than 3 child between the ages of 1-1, provided some of their children's needs with the support of benefactors with the Mother-Baby Support package. Approximately 7 thousand university students in need also benefited from the support of philanthropists.

The total amount of donations made to the Suspended Support campaign, which was determined to be in need of aid and the hand who received the hand, exceeded 30 million TL.
