The construction of Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe-Sultanbeyli Metro, which started to be built in April 2017, was stopped by the IMM President at the end of the same year.
IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluConstruction works were restarted on the part of the line between Çekmeköy and Sancaktepe City Hospital in October 2020.
With the issuance of 580 million dollars worth of bonds (Euroband) abroad last month, the construction works in the part of the metro between Sancaktepe City Hospital and Sultanbeyli were accelerated.
In the rail system where excavation of the first TBM continues, a ceremony is held to start the 2nd TBM excavation.
IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu The ceremony, which will be held with the participation of İBB bureaucrats and the representatives of the contractor companies, will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00 at Sancaktepe Station.
