AK Party Group Deputy Chairman and Çanakkale Deputy Bülent Turan, who examined the construction of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, said, "The Çanakkale Bridge will be completed before the target date of March 18, 2022 and we will have the opportunity to cross with our vehicles at the end of this year."

18 Çanakkale Bridge, founded by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on March 2017, 1915, will connect Europe and Asia for the first time in the Dardanelles Strait.

The 1915-meter long catwalk, which will be used as a working platform during the pulling of the main ropes of the 4 Çanakkale Bridge, was completed and illuminated. The total length of the catwalk was 330 meters, with a length of 1090 meters from the anchorage block on the European side to the tower in the sea, 2060 meters between the two towers in the sea, and 1180 meters from the anchorage block on the Asian side to the tower in the sea.

The 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and Motorway Project consists of 1915 kilometers of motorway and 88 kilometers of connection roads between Malkara and Çanakkale, including the 13 Çanakkale Bridge. The project is part of the 324 kilometer Kınalı-Tekirdağ-Çanakkale-Savaştepe Highway Project.

The project reaches Gallipoli Peninsula from the east of Evreşe by turning southwest after passing from the south of Malkara settlement, west of Şarköy. The highway, which passes through the north of Gallipoli, reaches the region of Umurbey by crossing the Asian side with the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge located between Sütlüce village in Europe and Lapseki in Asia.

In project scope; In addition to the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, 2 approach viaducts, 4 reinforced concrete viaducts, 12 bridges, 43 overpasses (1 of them Ecological Overpasses), 40 underpasses, 238 culverts of various sizes, 12 intersections (State 6 highway service facilities, 4 maintenance and operation centers and 2 toll collection stations are being built.
