WHAT IS THE LAST SITUATION IN AFRAY?
“From the moment we took office in 2019, our only goal was to bring our beautiful Afyon to its deserved place and to increase the quality of service by teamwork. However, due to the economic crisis that took the world by storm and had serious effects on our country, we made an effort to make our investments with our limited allowance from Iller Bank. We have also been very successful in this. Our expectations for 2020 were huge. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 incident, which threatened the world, has turned into a serious epidemic at the discretion of Allah. While our province was at the beginning of the provinces that survived with the least damage, we later encountered a serious epidemic, but we did not fail to serve.
WE REVISED THE PROJECT AGAIN
AFRAY was in our brochure during the elections. With the consent of our Minister of Transport, our AFRAY project started as a result of our consultations with the General Directorate of State Railways and the DDY 7th Regional Directorate. The project tender was made, the company that won the tender delivered the project within 120 days. At the end of 120 days, the company that made the project made a presentation. In this presentation, we examined the project with our Head of AKU Construction Real Estate Department, our State Railways 7th Regional Manager and their teammates Highways Branch Chief. I told them that if this project is implemented, I would not use this route personally. I stated that it is necessary to change the route. Because the route passed behind the university, none of our students had the luxury of walking from the station in AFRAY, they would not use this route. The project was changed and the project was moved from the dormitory area to the front of the university. We are planning to build two stations until the end of the university. One will be in front of the rectorate and the other will be in the area where the university ends.
WE HIT TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE
Thanks, our 7th Regional Manager has developed a project to integrate the city with the high-speed train station. Students and guests coming to Afyon by high speed train will be able to reach our city very easily with our AFRAY Suburban Line. This project was very welcome. When we explained to our Minister of Transport, he was also satisfied. We shot two birds with one stone. Our suburban line departing from the high-speed train station will first pass to the end point of the university, then to the main entrance of the university opposite the rectorate and then to the dormitories area. From the area where the Witnesses Rock is located, Yesilyurt and Karşıyaka It will come to the neighborhood and from there to the main station, Ali Çetinkaya Station Station. We extended this route to Park Afyon. It was a good project. "DDY officials will start their work as soon as possible with the instruction of our Transport Minister."
