Fees Paid by Second Education Students Should Be Refundable

Ümit Özlale, Chairman of İYİ Party's Economic and Development Policies, touched upon many issues from vaccine planning, evening education loans and fees, problematic loans to rector appointments, at a press conference held at the Headquarters.

Özlale stated that the wrong practices of the ruling party in terms of the economic platform and public health in terms of vaccine planning led to negative differentiation from other countries, adding that only 25 million vaccines could be vaccinated with a limited number of vaccines.

THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH SHOULD TELL ALL CITIZENS WHEN IT IS EXCLUDED IN WHICH RISK GROUP

Underlining that there should be a very good operation management in vaccine planning regarding who will be vaccinated, Özlale made the following recommendations:

“Our first suggestion is to increase the number of members of the health science board and to include operations management, logistics management and health economists in the scientific committee at the same time. It is very important to expand the competence of the scientific board. Secondly, vaccination planning needs to be done within the framework of accountability and transparency. In developed countries, every citizen knows in which risk group he is and when to be vaccinated. We also have a suggestion to the Ministry of Health, that all citizens will be vaccinated in which risk group and when it will be announced on public platforms within the framework of transparency criteria.

OUR PRIORITY GROUP SHOULD ALSO HAVE NARROWARE CITIZENS WHO HAVE A HIGH RISK OF INTERMING AND TRANSMISSING VIRUSES

Priority in vaccination planning is citizens of old age, people with chronic diseases, working in the health sector, police and, of course, the military. We recommend that our low-income citizens be brought to the fore regarding which group to be given priority afterwards. There is a very basic reason for this, they live in dense neighborhoods that have to go to work every day, work in crowded environments, use public transportation. People at high risk of both infecting and transmitting the virus. Our citizens who have lost their jobs are looking for a job on the street every day, the risk of contracting the virus is very high. There is also a high risk of transmitting the virus to their family, a large part of which has to live with their families. As IYI Party, these are our three suggestions in vaccine planning, the effectiveness of the scientific committee should be expanded, the Ministry of Health should inform the public in a clear concrete way about who will be vaccinated when, and the priority group should definitely include low-income citizens who have a high risk of virus transmission and transmission. "

COSTS PAID BY SECOND EDUCATION STUDENTS MUST BE REFUNDED

Stating that nearly 370 thousand students continue their evening education in our country, Özlale stated that secondary education students combined with formal education due to the pandemic had to choose to work or study, and drew attention to the need to create an appropriate online system for evening education.

Özlale reminded that the students in evening education paid close to 5000 lira tuition in some departments and that the reason for these fees was the lecturers who gave additional lessons, the administrators who attended the additional hours and the campus expenses, and many activities that caused the collection of fees during the pandemic period were eliminated in the last two years. The tuition fees paid by the students should be refunded, and no fees should be charged in the second semester.

SHARE OF PROBLEM LOANS IN TOTAL CREDITS IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE TO 20 PERCENT

Drawing attention to the issue of non-performing loans, Özlale said that the total of non-performing loans and second group loans are expected to exceed 2021 billion TL in the middle of 650, in other words, the share of non-performing loans in total loans is expected to reach the limit of 20 percent and said to the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Lütfi Elvan. posed the following questions:

“Our objection is not to the academic competence of Mr. Melih Bulu. One third of the academicians who worked as rectors in universities under the AK Party rule do not have an international scientific publication or work that has been cited. In other words, the academic competencies of rectors are questionable. Our objection is not to the election of a rector from outside the university. In many developed countries, rectors can also be selected from outside the university to increase academic wealth. They can choose important verbs here, those rectors are not appointed. My personal objection is not against Melih Bey's political personality. We want every faculty member who can provide this academic competence to apply for the rectorship of any university, but these rectors can later become rectors without the approval of any authority as a result of the university-wide election. Rectors must have a certain academic competence. Today, rectors who do not have any academic work and whose academic competence is questionable just because they are close to the party should not be elected rectors solely because of their partisan attitudes. The point we defend here is that rectors with high academic competence are elected in a system in which students are included and come to the rector's office without the approval of an office. "
