The locomotive, which goes at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour and has a continuous power of 700 kilowatts, is the first hydrogen-powered locomotive manufactured in China. The maximum load weight of the locomotive, which can travel non-stop for 24,5 hours, is 5 thousand tons.

The locomotive uses a combination of a hydrogen battery system and a high power lithium battery. Compared to conventional fueled or electric locomotives, hydrogen hybrid locomotives are both safer, more environmentally friendly and quieter, less costly and easier to maintain.

On the other hand, the modular design of the locomotive gives it the flexibility to use different power levels and modes. This feature allows users to respond to a wide variety of usage demands, such as in tunnels and mines.
