Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce shared the good news for the new entrance to the city from the Anatolian Highway on the first day of 2021. Explaining that the tender for the project that will provide entrance and exit from the highway by the General Directorate of Highways, Mayor Ekrem Yüce stated that the D-100 Highway, Anatolian and Northern Marmara Highways will also be connected with this project. Yüce stated that the vehicles going to the northern part of the city will not participate in the urban traffic once the project is completed.

Tender of the new highway entrance is ok

President Ekrem Yüce, who went to the region where the project will be implemented on the first day of 2021 and made statements on the subject, said, “Since the day we took office, we have been working for the development and renewal of our city, our projects continue uninterruptedly in many regions. One of these works is the new highway entrances project from Pekşenler to be connected to our city. We have been working on this project for approximately one and a half years for an alternative highway entrance that suits our Sakarya and offers more practical solutions. We prepared project drawings and feasibility studies. We presented it to our General Directorate of Highways. Our General Directorate held the tender required for the highway toll booths on the determined routes on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. "Good luck to our city."

20 million for expropriation

Mayor Yüce, underlining that the expropriation works in the region will be carried out by the Metropolitan Municipality, said, “With the new road to be built with a length of 2 meters and a width of 500 meters, we will connect the D-23 Highway, Anatolian Highway, Northern Marmara Highway and strengthen the connections of our city with transportation networks. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we started our work for the expropriation of the road and toll areas needed for the project and worth 100 million TL. "

Sakarya will increase its logistics power

Stating that Sakarya is a very advantageous city in terms of location and that the new entrance will gain great power in terms of logistics, President Yüce said, “We are located in a region that is the locomotive of our country. With the new entrance and exit, we will connect Sakarya to highways by reducing the burden of urban traffic. Thus, we will create an alternative route between OIZs and highways. With this project, we will contribute to the development of the hinterland of Karasu Port. In addition, we will create an alternative link road for the northern and southern districts of our city and facilitate transportation. By balancing the traffic density between the D-100 Highway, the Anatolian Highway and the Northern Marmara Highway, we will minimize the traffic in the city entrances and exits. "
