The Ministry of Culture and Tourism stated that within the scope of the support program launched for music sector employees who were victims of the Kovid-19 outbreak, a total of 24 thousand 522 people whose applications were approved will be given a total of 3 thousand TL support.
In the statement made by the Ministry, our Ministry initiated a support program in order to support the music sector employees who were victims of the epidemic and lost their income.
We have reached the final stage of this support program, which we carry out in cooperation with Yunus Emre Enstitüsü affiliated with our Ministry, 6 major non-governmental organizations operating in the music sector, and 3 music professional associations.
During the application, which started on December 16, 2020 and ended on December 25, 2020, a total of 29 thousand 679 applications were made.
As a result of the intensive work of the relevant non-governmental organizations and professional unions, all applications were carefully examined and it was decided to support a total of 24 thousand 522 applicants.
These 24 thousand 522 people whose applications are approved will receive a total of 3 thousand lira support.
Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, which undertakes the processes of receiving, classifying and evaluating applications quickly in the said program, and our non-governmental organizations that cooperate with us in the project, Popular Music Art Foundation, Music and Performing Artists Union, Musicians and Artists Federation, Thrace Culture, Art and Education Foundation, We would like to thank the International Federation of Performing Artists, Turkish Music Federation and music professional associations.
In addition to this support program, which we finalized in a very short time, again to be covered by the resources of our Ministry; Turkey Musical Work Owners' Association, the Professional Association of Music Reviewer, Turkey Musical Work Owners Group Professional Association has developed support programs separately called on its members.
Support payments, which will reach 30 thousand 744 musicians and industry workers in total, will be completed in January.
