The project work for the 2nd stage is about to be completed. Our desire is to open the whole of Uzungöl and make it greener. We came after the Sümela Monastery cable car project. Our municipality is in contact with an investor. We want to make its tender in the coming days. We reached a certain point in the work we did in Barma Plateau. I hope that this place will be completed rapidly next year and an education area will be created like a nature museum ”.

STAGE 2 PROJECT IS PREPARED IN THE MİLLET GARDEN

Stating that the works are continuing well in the Ortahisar National Garden, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “From time to time, I also examine the works on site. We demolished the Forest Management residences there. The urgent expropriation decisions of the buildings on the sea side were also published in the Official Gazette. The 1st stage construction continues. The 2nd stage project is also being prepared. We are also building synthetic ice rink there. Basic fabrication, steel and membrane fabrications have been completed. The skateboard park project dimensioning studies have been completed and we are starting to manufacture. Physical realization for the skate park and ice rink has reached 45 percent. When the Nation's Garden works are completed, the ice skating rink and skate park built by our Metropolitan Municipality will be completed, ”he said.

SQUARE 3. STAGE WILL BE FINISHED IN 1 YEAR

Stating that the construction of the Meydan 3rd stage multi-storey car park has started, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “We tendered our project with the build-operate-transfer model. Excavations are currently in progress there. In the project, due to the sensitive feature of Meydan, there is a multi-storey car park downstairs. There will be a parking lot for 403 cars, a terrace and a cafe. I hope our citizens will be able to watch the port area with the cruise terrace. At the same time, the pedestrianized area in the Square will be expanded. We aim to complete in 1 year. When the project is completed, it will add beauty to the Meydan area in terms of both traffic and appearance ”.

WE WILL BUILD A CHILDREN TRAFFIC TRAINING TRACK

Emphasizing that they will implement the Children's Traffic Training Track Project in Trabzon, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “The tender for the project will be held on January 21st. It will be a very nice training ground. We will build in an area belonging to our Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate in the area where Akyazı Stadium is located. We think that by constantly bringing our children here from our schools, it will make an important contribution in terms of learning the traffic rules. When it comes to children's traffic training track, it is not a small project, its investment costs a serious amount. And I hope it will perform a very important function, ”he said.

SCIENCE CENTER TENDER WILL BE MADE IN MARCH

Emphasizing that the Planetarium and Science Center Project has been signed, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “We made our protocol with the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency. We already had a project. Planetarium and Science Center Project will cost 12 million lira. 10 million liras were paid by the Ministry of Industry and 2 million liras by our Metropolitan Municipality. Its location is obvious in the area where the Moloz Mosque is. We aim to make its tender in March ”.

IT WILL BE THE FIRST BEACH BUILT BY METROPOLITAN

Mayor Zorluoğlu also stated that it was the first time that a beach was built by the Metropolitan Municipality in Trabzon and said, “Yalıncak Beach is one of the things we attach great importance to. The site has been delivered, excavations continue. Our goal is to train the beach for the summer season. It will be the first beach of Trabzon built in this way by the Metropolitan Municipality. We believe it will serve a very important function. I hope it will be a good service to our citizens when it is completed ”.

TRANSPORTATION MASTER PLAN TENDER PROCESS COMPLETED

Providing information about the Transportation Master Plan prepared to eliminate the traffic and transportation problems of the city, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “We made our Transportation Master Plan. It is one of the works that has been talked about in Trabzon for many years but we have taken a step. The tender process has been completed. The contract will be made now. I talked to the winning contractor and explained our expectations in this process. "It will be prepared as a plan that will produce real solutions to the transportation problems of our city within the framework of a close working and cooperation understanding."

WE CARE THE WATER SUPPLY PROJECT

Stating that they attach importance to the Trabzon Water Supply Project, which will solve the infrastructure problem of Trabzon, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “Our Trabzon Water Supply Project, which is under the coordination of our General Directorate of TİSKİ, continues with an intense effort. It means a lot to us. There was a serious change in the infrastructure of Trabzon about 40 years ago. It is also normal for such large infrastructure projects to be carried out at these times. This was our share. First we started in Beşirli and Development neighborhoods, and now we came to the Meydan area, taking advantage of the restrictions due to the pandemic. Our work continues with a total of 4 teams, including 5 teams in Beşirli, 3 teams in Development and 12 teams in the Meydan area ”.

TEMPORARY COATING WILL BE RENEWED FULLY

Stating that he is closely interested in the works, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “I have examined the works carried out in Beşirli and Development locations. I saw that our friends work very meticulously, I am pleased. We cover our work with temporary asphalt and concrete. Some friends say it's getting patched. I would like to point out that what we do is a temporary coating. Here, there is a risk that the filling materials will collapse over time and some time is required to test the water work. This also takes time. It takes some time here so that we can cover it completely. After a reasonable time, our goal is to completely renew the road along with the pavements. We will also renew the sidewalks in Beşirli seaside street, we are making a change regarding the lighting system. We will make Beşirli Caddesi more attractive with a new lighting style, including the central median. "We will change the sidewalks on the main street in Kalkınma Mahallesi, and make the lighting aesthetic in the form of city lighting."

WE CHANGED 67 KILOMETER DRINKING WATER LINE

Emphasizing that they have changed the 67 kilometers of drinking water line so far within the scope of Trabzon Water Supply Project, Mayor Zorluoğlu said, “We do not do this work only for drinking water. We make drinking water, rain water, sewage, telecommunication infrastructure. We work as a whole in terms of natural gas and electrification. And hopefully, we are making a great effort to prevent this city from encountering such issues for another 40-50 years. I sincerely thank all our friends who contributed ”.
