Recreation Project Started On The Sakarya River

Mayor Ekrem Yüce, who examined the recreation project implemented on the river bank in Sakarya Park, said, “We offer a new alternative to the social lives of our citizens on the banks of the Sakarya River. Our project, which will offer sitting areas, lightings and walking opportunities, will have a natural look with wooden cladding. In addition, there will be rides on the river with recreational boats, ”he said. Mayor Yüce underlined that the zipline project will also be implemented in the region.

Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce examined the recreation project on site, which was started right in front of the ADASU HEPP located in Sakarya Park. Stating that the scaffolding works are continuing at full speed in the project that will increase the attraction of the Sakarya River and offer a new alternative to the social life of the region, Mayor Yüce stated that the zipline project, which will have a length of 350 meters, will also be brought to the region.

Social alternative by the Sakarya River

Mayor Ekrem Yüce, who received information about the last point reached at the pier on the bank of Sakarya River, said, “We prepared our project and started our work in order to integrate the Sakarya River with the city and to enable our citizens to spend time by the river. With the completion of the steel assemblies, we will achieve a natural look with wooden cladding. In addition to sitting areas and walking opportunities, we will also offer the opportunity to ride on the river with our new project. There will be a recreational boat and 4 fiber boats. With ADASU HEPP, we will continue to produce electricity and offer a new alternative to the social lives of our citizens in front of the HEPP. Good luck ”he said.

Zipline project will also be brought to the region

Stating that the pier has been completed by 80 percent and that the zipline project will also be implemented in the region, President Ekrem Yüce said, “We received the authorization from our council members in our January assembly. Our project is ready. The zipline platform that we will implement between Sakarya Park and Sakarya River will have a 350 meters long rope distance. It will be supported by 16 steel towers with a height of 2 meters. When the zipline platform will be launched at one of Turkey's longest zipline. I hope we will complete our project, which will have a very special place for the social life of our city, as soon as possible ”.
