İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu, to the question of journalists about the confusion regarding the sale of public bread in mobile kiosks, said, “The statement by the Ministry of Agriculture that this process has not been expressed has solved the problem for now. But let's announce to all the people of Istanbul that we will not recognize any obstacles in the fight against poverty ”.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu said, “Yesterday, the sale of bread in mobile kiosks was banned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. A statement was made that it was not banned in the morning hours. What's the latest? Will the sale continue by the municipality ”answered the question. İmamoğlu replied the question, “It would have continued anyway. Even if the article written yesterday had reflected on the field as another kind of practice, we would have continued our bread sales. Our preparation was that way. Our Ministry of Agriculture made the statement. They expressed what they meant to him. So there was no problem. But let me state it again; In Istanbul, in these poor days, it is very important for people to queue up to buy a lira of bread. Every service made for this is valuable. All public institutions should act as 'How can I contribute to this service?' And make decisions with this awareness. The first impression of yesterday's land saddened us all. The declaration of the Ministry of Agriculture that it did not express this process solved the problem for now. But let's announce to all the people of Istanbul that we will not recognize any obstacles in the fight against poverty ”. İmamoğlu said, “Was there a confusion of expression? Or was it a situation corrected today? It was also expressed as a smear campaign… ”, he replied,“ So I leave it to the discretion of the public and the lawyers ”.
