After the 451 new buses purchased last year, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality started to renew the existing vehicles in the ESHOT fleet. Buses that are taken care of in ESHOT workshops are almost re-created.
Despite the decrease in passengers during the pandemic process, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality continues its public transportation investments without interruption. After a total of 134 new vehicles, including 4 articulated buses and 451 special disabled buses, which were included in the ESHOT and İZULAŞ fleets last year, worn-out vehicles in the ESHOT fleet were also taken into service.
450 buses will be overhauled
The BMC and Temsa branded buses, which are taken under maintenance at the workshops in ESHOT Gediz Garage, are being completely overhauled. Air conditioning maintenance of the vehicles whose engine and electrical components, seats, paints and generations are renewed are also carried out. Within the program, 450 buses will be renewed.
