Adil Karaismailoğlu, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, started tunnel excavation for the Kızılay section of the AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro with a project cost of 1 billion 142 million TL. Karaismailoğlu pointed out that 6 million 500 thousand passengers are carried daily in the rail systems opened by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and pointed out that they have increased the length of the urban rail system in Ankara by 4.5 times.
"We will meet all of Ankara's urban rail system needs"
Stating that there is a total of 12 kilometers of urban rail systems in 812 provinces, Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that 312 million 6 thousand passengers per day and 555 billion 2 million passengers per year are transported in the 393-kilometer rail systems put into service by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they regard "service to the public, service to Hak'ka" and stated that they will meet all the urban rail system needs of Ankara on the way to the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Republic.
Minister Karaismailoglu started the TBM machine after receiving the technical presentation of the AKM-Gar-Kızılay project and a briefing about Ankara before the ceremony.
