Assistance to Izmir Earthquake Survivors from Hamburg Galatasaray Association

The support of non-governmental organizations continues for the campaigns launched by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for the victims after the October 30 earthquake. Hamburg Galatasaray Association has also joined the Metropolitan's solidarity network with the victims.

Non-governmental organizations continue to contribute to the support of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for earthquake victims. The solidarity campaign initiated by the Metropolitan Municipality received support from the Hamburg Galatasaray Association. With the campaign attended by those living in Hamburg and devoted to Galatasaray, the furniture needs of the earthquake victims who stay in the houses allocated to the earthquake victims in Uzundere by the Metropolitan Municipality will be met.

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç SoyerHamburg Galatasaray Association Vice President Önder Zeybek, who visited Istanbul in his office, said, “We wanted to have salt in the soup, too.” Stating that they collected 30 thousand liras for the October 80 earthquake, Zeybek said, “After the earthquake, we thought about what we can support and how we can reach those in need. We contacted the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Social Projects Department and with their support, we will now benefit the earthquake victims in Uzundere residences.”
