Altınşehir Bridge Junction Has Opened to Reduce the Traffic Density of Adıyaman

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, went to Adıyaman for a series of visits and examinations. Minister Karaismailoğlu, who opened the Altınşehir Köprülü Crossroads; He stated that the intersection will significantly relieve the intensity of transit passageways in the city.

Karaismailoğlu continued his statements as follows: “While there was only 2003 kilometers of divided roads in Adıyaman in 23, today we have increased more than ten times to 256 kilometers. We connected Adıyaman to Kahramanmaraş and Malatya with comfortable, fast and safe divided roads. Today, Adıyaman has a total road network of 272 kilometers, including 517 kilometers of state roads and 789 kilometers of provincial roads. The total project cost of 8 ongoing highway projects in Adıyaman exceeds 1 billion 825 million TL.

Minister Karaismailoğlu, who stated that Altınşehir Köprülü Junction will significantly relieve the intensity of transit passageways in the city, and noted that once the intersection is put into service, the transit time will decrease from 5 minutes to 1.5 minutes; he said:

“Our intersection that we built on Gölbaşı-Adıyaman State Road is in the standard of a 1.410 meter long 2 × 2 lane divided road. With this intersection, it is possible to pass the city more easily by taking the intercity transit traffic under the underpass. In this way, we will save 18 million 700 thousand lira from time and 900 thousand lira from fuel, a total of 19.6 million lira per year. Since there will be no stop-and-go stops, the emission of an average of 383 tons of exhaust emissions to the environment per year will be eliminated. With our Altınşehir Bridge Crossroad project, which we started in March 2019, the people of Adıyaman will win in every way. "
