Ordu Metropolitan Municipality has started work to bring the Yaz Mansion Cave, located within the boundaries of the Unye district Karagöl District, to tourism.
In 2003, Dr. The cave, which was examined by the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA) for the first time during the period of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Mehmet Hilmi Güler and found to be suitable for tourism, was registered as a natural property in 2005. Mayor of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, who started the work to bring the cave to tourism by completing the works. In line with the instructions of Mehmet Hilmi Güler, teams affiliated to the Metropolitan Municipality entered the cave and made a technical examination.
The project to be prepared by metropolitan teams will be presented to the Natural Heritage Board. Following the approval of the report, it is aimed to bring the Summer Mansion Cave into tourism by realizing the planned works.
THE PROJECT WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE BOARD'S APPROVAL
Mayor Advisor Asım Suyabatmaz, who entered the cave with the technical team, said that the work has begun to bring the cave into tourism.
Suyabatmaz continued his statements as follows: “Our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. During the period of the Ministry of Energy, Mehmet Hilmi Güler had appointed a team from MTA and asked to examine the cave. Now he has assigned us to complete the work he started. We started our investigations in order to bring this place with natural underground waterfalls to tourism. We believe that the walking track should be cleaned and made safe in order to bring the cave into tourism. Again, we think that rocks with a risk of falling should be supported and lighting work should be done. All of these will be projected by our teams and submitted for the approval of the Nature Presence Board, as the cave is a natural property. After the approval, we aim to put the cave into the service of tourism by applying our project. "
THERE ARE TWO WATERFALLS
There are two waterfalls flowing from a height of 900 meters in the 25-meter-long cave, which is known to be formed by the expansion of groundwater in the fault fracture gap. Stalactite stalagmites and rare domed rooms in the cave attract the attention of visitors.
