Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality has completed the hot asphalt laying works that it started in the last phase of Mesopotamya Street.

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality has completed the hot asphalt laying works by completing the infrastructure works on Mesopotamya Street, which connects Şanlıurfa Road and Elazığ Street. In the works carried out by the Road Construction Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department, it put into service by laying 1 thousand 750 tons of hot asphalt 9 centimeters thick on 6 meters of the remaining 500 kilometer distance to connect Mesopotamya Street with Elazığ Street. On the street, whose asphalt has been completed, teams of the Department of Transportation will carry out road line work to ensure traffic and pedestrian safety. After the zoning problem of the remaining 300-meter section to connect Mesopotamya Avenue with Elazığ Street, it will be completed and put into service to the citizens.

With the completion of the asphalt paving work, the Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Science Affairs started the pavement and median works on the street. After the sidewalk and median works, the Department of Parks and Gardens will start landscaping and decorate the street with various trees and flowers.
