Adil Karaismailoğlu, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, attended the 10th Meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Transport Ministers via video-conference method. At the meeting, all aspects of cooperation in the field of transportation, especially keeping the supply chain open under the COVID-19 epidemic, were discussed. With the commissioning of this train, it was emphasized that besides container transportation on the route, freight transportation can also be carried out with conventional wagons.

In this context, we support all kinds of efforts to liberalize bilateral and transit transports. It is important to maintain your interruption in the supply chain in order for the economies of the country to survive and the fight against COVID-19 to continue. I hope that practices such as PCR test application and transfer obligation applied in some ECO countries will be reviewed. "
