TUSAŞ General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil made important statements about the projects of TUSAŞ in the "Domestic and National" program he participated in TRT Radio 1.
Turkish Aerospace Industry TUSAŞ General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil participated in the "Yerli ve Milli" program broadcast on TRT Radio 1, prepared and presented by Belma Şahaner. Kotil made important statements about TAI's projects in the program, which he attended with a live phone connection.
Gökbey Certification Flights
Expressing that the plane, which will have a capacity of 4 people, can be used as a military logistics and ambulance helicopter, Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil emphasized that Gökbey will be the first in his class.
Kotil reported that Gökbey has been performing certification flights as of December 2020. Stating that all conditions have been tested in the flights in question, Kotil stated that this process takes a long time and if necessary, the process can be extended for another 2 years. Kotil stated that the Gökbey general purpose helicopter is planned to be produced 2 units per year, 24 per month.
TS1400 will be delivered to TAI
TEI - TUSAŞ Motor Sanayii A.Ş. The development engine developed as part of the Turboshaft Engine Development Project (TMGP), which was carried out by the company, was first started in October 2020. TEI General Manager Mahmut F. AKŞİT stated that the engine is ready to be delivered to TAI / TAI in December 129 about the TS1400, which is planned to power the local GÖKBEY general purpose helicopter and T2020 ATAK attack helicopters. It was stated that the TS1400 will be delivered to TUSAŞ at a ceremony to be held with the participation of our President on December 5, 2020.
