Edirne Kırklareli Road Sazlıdere Variant Opened to Traffic

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, made statements in Uzunköprü district regarding the opening of the İskender-Sazlıdere Variant of the Edirne Kırklareli Road. Karaismailoğlu opened the 5-kilometer section of the Edirne-Kırklareli Road Sazlıdere Variant.

“Our country is going through very important days in terms of road transportation history. We recently put the Ankara-Niğde highway equipped with smart systems into service. Again, we put the 400 km long Northern Marmara Motorway into service last week. It was a very important project especially for Edirne transportation. It was one of the projects that saved Istanbul, Kocaeli and Sakarya from urban traffic. Our projects and openings continue. Tomorrow we will put the Ankara-Gölbaşı transition into service. "

"1915 Çanakkale Bridge will add a great value to Edirne"

Minister Karaismailoğlu emphasized that in a period when the whole world is struggling with the epidemic, all necessary measures are taken and investments continue without interruption; Noting that they continue to produce pride for the country and exemplary projects for the world; he said:

“We have completed the 1230 km Northern Marmara Motorway from Edirne to Şanlıurfa. These are very important projects for the future of our country and the history of the highway. It will serve our country for centuries. There is also a feverish work on the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which concerns Edirne very closely. This project will add great value to our Edirne. We aim to complete it on March 18, 2022. We have the possibility to open it earlier. "

We will complete Edirne Kırklareli Road in 2022 and put it into service.
