Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Police teams imposed a 392 lira fine on the driver of the taxi that hit a puppy in Çiğli the previous day. In his statement to the police staff, it was learned that the driver stated that he was very sorry about the incident and said that he wanted to adopt the injured dog.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Police Department Traffic Branch Directorate teams started an investigation after the images emerged of the moment when a taxi hit a puppy in Balatçık District of Çiğli. After a few hours of work, the driver of the taxi, whose identity was identified, was fined 13 TL for the crime of "harming the animal" in accordance with the 392 / ğ article of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Regulation on Orders and Prohibitions.

The puppy, injured in the accident and brought to the Animal Hospital by the citizens, was treated by veterinarians. It was learned that the puppy named "Memati" was in good health, and the taxi driver told the Police Traffic Branch Directorate that he was very sorry about the incident and said he wanted to adopt the dog.
