The “One Rent One Home” campaign launched by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for earthquake victims has ended. The rent support promised within the scope of the campaign was recorded as 42 million 649 thousand. After the earthquake that shook İzmir, the “One Rent One Home” campaign, which brought together earthquake victims and those who wanted to support them, has come to an end. The lease support committed within the scope of the campaign reached 42 million 649 thousand. A total of 4 million 643 thousand TL was transferred to the families who were homeless in the earthquake by 20 thousand 510 supporters. The number of flats reported to be opened to earthquake victims reached 231. Matching between earthquake victims who want to benefit from the campaign and those who want to support them and payments of 10 thousand TL each continue.
The number of families who settled in the residences offered free of charge to earthquake victims for a year in Uzundere, Metropolitan Municipality reached 147. Earthquake victims will be able to take furniture and white goods with them as they leave the residences. Electricity, water, fuel bills and common expenses will also be paid by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for a year.
"We covered our wounds with solidarity"

5 thousand lira support is given to medium damage
On the other hand, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality completed the rent support payment of 30 thousand liras for 629 families whose houses were moderately damaged in the October 5 earthquake. This week, the rental assistance of 40 families whose houses are moderately damaged will be deposited into their bank accounts. The metropolitan municipality will continue to provide rental assistance according to applications and evaluations. Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer, said that for families whose houses with moderate damage were determined, 5 thousand liras of rental support would be given to each household from the municipal budget, and announced that they would allocate 35 million liras in this context. The Metropolitan, which has made the support payment of 179 thousand liras to 10 houses in the heavily damaged buildings from its own budget, will have deposited the rent aid of the owners of 50 apartments with severe damage this week into their bank accounts.
