FINANCIAL AND TECHNICAL PROBLEMS WERE SOLVED QUICKLY
Pelin Alpkökin, Head of IMM Rail System Department, said that the Cibali - Alibeyköy Pocket Bus Line, which offers the opportunity to travel along Altınboynuz, will enjoy a panoramic cruise along the Golden Horn with a 30-minute journey. Underlining that the tram will also enable touristic trips with its low operating speed, Alpkökin said, "The line, which will start to serve with 10 vehicles with a 6-minute voyage interval, will be served with 2021 vehicles in December 30".
Reminding that the construction works of the line, which started in 2016 by IMM, came to a halt later, Alpkökin said, “In the Eminönü-Alibeyköy Tram Line, the construction process has been accelerated by solving the financing problems in the new period. In addition, due to ground movements on the shore of the Golden Horn, the rails were dismantled in the 1,3 km section, the concrete was broken and it was rebuilt with a piled system ”.

The skyline of the city was not overshadowed by the lack of use of catenaries and the lack of direct erection. Fire department or other emergency situations that lead to restrictions for vehicles, pedestrians and will allow full access to the park with paths bringing this system in Turkey, we are proud to set an example to other municipalities. Reminding that the tram passes through a unique historical texture, Özgür Soy said, “It is not possible to encounter a time tunnel flavor dating back to the fourth century in any other city. In this respect, our line will be one of the icons of Istanbul, just like the İstiklal and Moda trams.
