The Zero Point of History Göbeklitepe Was Disinfected

Göbeklitepe, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and described as "the zero point of history" in Şanlıurfa, was disinfected within the scope of new type of corona virus (Covid-19) measures.

The disinfection team of Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality carried out a disinfection study in Göbeklitepe within the scope of Covid-19 measures. Specially dressed teams meticulously disinfected in the visitor center, animation show hall, store, cafeteria, parking lot, walking areas and services in Göbeklitepe.

Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül stated that teams are continuing their disinfection works at intervals in Göbeklitepe, Balıklıgöl and historical areas, which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and said, “As soon as the pandemic started, we called out to all vehicle owners in Şanlıurfa so we said let's disinfect your vehicles. and we set up disinfection stations in several places. We offered this service free of charge to citizens, ”he said.

Chairman Beyazgül said, “We are in Balıklıgöl, we fed our fish, but our friends periodically give our fish, birds, cats and dogs the oath, which is a duty for us because they do not speak language, we will take care of them. We have elderly people, people in need, and we continue to help them. The pandemic period has its own team work, we are distributing food parcels, we have started to distribute tablets to the needy and our children in need because interactive studies have started. We continue our hygiene works for our people, we continue to work on our historical places. It was a very intensive work we did in our vehicles when starting hygiene studies. In this period, we are doing all our work with all our strength. We have entered a period, this period is a really different one, this period has its own changing situations and we, as Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality, strongly meet all of them. During this period, we distributed 100 thousand parcels, 16 thousand hygiene parcels, we did not set limits during this period, we did not spare anything whoever wanted it because we entered a period where social solidarity should be experienced much more. Some of our charitable businessmen have supported us in a number of philanthropic institutions from the outside world, and this should continue.

BALIKLIGÖL AND ITS ENVIRONMENT ARE DISINFECTED

Within the scope of the disinfection works carried out against the new type of corona virus epidemic throughout the city, which was also followed by Metropolitan Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül, the historical and touristic places of Şanlıurfa were not forgotten.

Balıklıgöl, which is visited by hundreds of local and foreign tourists in accordance with the new normalization, and Dergah Mosque and Hz. İbrahim Cave was disinfected by Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality teams. The disinfection process, in which special antibacterial clothes were used, was very sensitive.

FISH, CATS AND BIRDS WERE NOT FORGOTTEN

In line with the decision taken by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality teams continue to provide feed and food support for fish, cats, dogs and birds that go hungry on weekends due to the very low human circulation.
