Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said that Erciyes, a world-class center with ski and mountain tourism and high altitude camp centers, will reach a position that serves four seasons of the year with thermal tourism, by examining the geothermal drilling works carried out for hot water in Erciyes.
Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, who wants to increase Erciyes' potential and make it an attraction center that can be used for 12 months. Memduh Büyükkılıç examined the geothermal drilling works initiated in accordance with the protocol signed between Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration and received information about the latest situation.
Stating that all issues related to Erciyes are of priority, Mayor Büyükkılıç said that geothermal drilling works will provide beneficial services to the city and continued his speech as follows:
“While we are continuing our work with the logic of High Altitude Camp Center in Erciyes, we continue our work in accordance with the protocol we have made with the thermal-related MTA unit of our Ministry of Energy. As of now, the level of 400 meters has been reached. Efforts are being made to reach up to 2 thousand 200 meters within a period of 4 months. I hope Allah Almighty will not embarrass us. Our hope is that if we reach hot water with the diligent work of our friends, we will experience four seasons in Erciyes. Our charter flights have also started. Many of our guests from abroad will come to our ski resort. With its thermal facilities, the Ski Center and the High Altitude Sports Center here, it will be in a position that provides opportunities to our city and serves people in four seasons. We thank these 24-hour friends for their sacrifice. MTA is already an expert on these issues. Our pride is our establishment.
