Alstom and ASELSAN signed a cooperation agreement to determine the framework for cooperation and coordination in the ETCS Signaling Onboard area. Signatures for the cooperation agreement ASELSAN Deputy General Manager Dr. Abraham Singles and alstomortadog and Turkey were taken by the General Manager of Mama Sougoufar.
The main goal of this cooperation agreement was determined as establishing a long-term partnership in which two leading companies in the field of rail systems will cooperate in the global and local market, both in modernization and new product development.
Mama Sougoufar alstomortadog and Turkey General Manager said, "are very excited that we're doing a great technology cooperation with Turkish companies like ASELSAN. This long-term partnership, in accordance with international standards will contribute to the modernization of the railways in alstom'untürkiye'. This partnership, Turkey and efficient in the implementation of the ERTMS rail network in the global truck-mounted solution for safe operation and belief, will reach its full innovative results, "he said.
ASELSAN Deputy General Manager Dr. İbrahim Bekar said, “I fully believe that Alstom's experience in rail systems and ASELSAN's technological capabilities will create a synergy. With this cooperation, it is aimed that our country will reach the targets in the 11th Development Plan and then reach the level to be able to export technological products in the field of rail systems by opening to world markets ”.
Alstom has been operating for over 60 years in Turkey. The Istanbul Office serves as a regional center for the AMECA (Africa, Middle East and Central Asia) region and for Alstom Digital Mobility (ADM) as well as System and Infrastructure Projects. Activities of the regional center include tender management, project management, engineering, sourcing, training and maintenance services.
