Within the scope of the "1000 Schools in Vocational Education Project", which was initiated to reduce the differences between schools and strengthen vocational education, production in 2020 schools in 438 increased by 42 percent compared to last year and reached 157 million lira.

Concrete steps continue to be taken in the 1000 Schools in Vocational Education Project. In 2020, 161 million TL was invested in this school within the scope of numerous support from strengthening the infrastructure of selected schools to enriching the educational environments.

Among the aims of the project was to increase the production made within the scope of revolving fund in these schools and therefore to increase the shares of students and teachers in these schools from income. Out of 1000 schools determined within the scope of the 1000 Schools in Vocational Education Project, 438 schools have revolving funds. Production in 2020 schools in 438 increased by 2019 percent compared to 42, reaching 157 million lira. It is aimed to open revolving fund enterprises in all 2021 schools in 1000.

"Production capacity of schools increased by 42 percent"

Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that they implemented the "1000 Schools in Vocational Education" project in order to increase the quality of vocational and technical education on the one hand and to reduce the difference in success between schools on the other.

Underlining that the project is a very comprehensive project that includes school administrators, teachers, students, parents and the school environment, Özer said: “We take very comprehensive steps regarding each component of the project. We determined the duration of the project as 12 months. Work on the project continues as planned. One of the goals of the project was to establish revolving fund enterprises in 1000 selected schools and to increase the employability of our graduates by increasing the production and applied education capacity. In addition, it was to increase our capacity to support our students and teachers in terms of their contribution to production. In 1000, only 2020 of our 438 selected schools had revolving funds. In the first 2020 months of 11, these schools increased their production capacity by 42 percent and produced 157 million lira. Our students earned 11 million lira from production, and our teachers 25 million lira. In 2021, we aim to open revolving fund enterprises in our remaining 562 schools. In this context, we will establish two new workshops in each of these schools in 2021. "
