TÜBİTAK 1001 Project, jointly realized by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Inc. and Erciyes University, has been successfully completed. Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said, “With the project they developed jointly with Transportation Inc. and Erciyes University, they brought efficiency and the highest level of solution to the scheduling problem, which is very important for public transportation, and concluded an important issue both for our city and for the transportation sector”. Kayseri Transportation Inc., the leading transportation company of our country with a GE Center, has successfully completed the TÜBİTAK 1001 project, which was carried out in order to solve the problem of timetable and machinist scheduling within the framework of the research and development activities carried out with Erciyes University Industrial Engineering Department. Within the scope of this project, an innovative solution approach focused on efficiency and service level was developed in the determination and assignment of the timetables of the tram lines and the machinist voyage duties in Kayseri, whose population density is increasing day by day.

PASSENGER REQUESTS WILL BE ANTICIPATED WITH THIS PROJECT

The aim of the project is to create the most appropriate timetable using the location-based passenger numbers obtained with the data collected for 11 years with the electronic fare collection system and to optimize it within the framework of legal and operational constraints, thanks to this approach, passenger demands can be predicted and the voyages can now be compared to the estimated passenger demands. can be planned by the program developed according to.
