Marmara Municipalities Union and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın carried out an investigation at the Karamürsel City Square Bridge Junction, which is under construction on D-130 Highway, one of the important routes of intercity passenger and logistics transportation. Mayor Büyükakın said, “We have completed our side roads and transferred the traffic to the side roads first” in the examination, which also included the Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality, Balamir Gündoğdu, and said, “If the weather conditions do not interfere with our work, we aim to complete the construction process here in three months. "We will have reached the goal of both making the sinking output and removing the concrete road, which has been longing for years for Karamürsel."

Mayor Büyükakın, who saw the concrete breaking works on site in the examination, which also included Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Altay and Head of Science Department Ayşegül Yalçınkaya, said, “We will complete the pavement and other works in a few days. In addition, we started breaking the concrete road. We will have a very large excavation work and then a splitting operation will be carried out for the construction of the tunnel. This work will take about two months. After that, we expect the asphalt casting works and other works to take a month ”.

Emphasizing that there was a disruption in the project due to the problems experienced in the previous works and therefore the contractor ended his job, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Assoc. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın said, “We had declared that contractor a bid ban. Work here had stopped due to legal procedures. But now our work continues quickly. If the weather conditions do not interfere with our work, we aim to complete the construction process here in three months. URBAN TRAFFIC AND INTERCITY TRANSPORTATION WILL RELAX ALSO
At Karamürsel City Square Köprülü Junction, 1.600 meters 2 × 2 lane main road, 900 meters north; 900 kilometers, including 2 side roads, 310 meters south, and 3.70 meters connection road will be built. When the works are completed, intercity transportation will also be relieved in Karamürsel, which is one of the important routes of intercity passenger and logistics transportation.
