1915 Çanakkale Bridge Can Be Opened Before the Targeted Date

In his speech at the opening ceremony of the Edirne-Kırklareli Road Sazlıdere Variant, Adil Karaismailoğlu, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, underlined that all necessary measures were taken in a period when the whole world was struggling with the epidemic and that investments continued without interruption. Minister Karaismailoğlu noted that they continue to produce exemplary projects for the country and the world, and said that we have the possibility of opening the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, one of the biggest projects of our country, earlier than the target.

Minister Karaismailoğlu will serve our country for centuries. Again, there is a feverish work on the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which concerns Edirne very closely. This project will add great value to our Edirne. We aim to complete the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge on March 18, 2022. The studies are going well, we may open it earlier. I hope we will be with you at Çanakkale Bridge in the coming days because it is a huge project on a world scale. It is one of the most important projects in the world with its 2 thousand 23 meters span and 318 meters of tower feet.
