An investment of 1000 million TL was made in the "161 Schools in Vocational Education Project", which was initiated to reduce the success gaps between schools and strengthen vocational education.

Concrete steps continue to be taken within the scope of the 1000 Schools in Vocational Education Project. The 2020 performance evaluation meeting of the project was chaired by Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer.

In his statement, Özer reminded that they implemented the "1000 Schools in Vocational Education Project" to increase the quality of vocational and technical education and reduce the success differences between schools.

Underlining that the project is a very comprehensive study that includes school administrators, teachers, students, parents and the school environment, Özer gave the following information: “We are taking very comprehensive steps regarding each component of the project. We determined the duration of the project as one year. First of all, we aimed to improve the infrastructure of our schools and to enrich their facilities. In this context, we will establish libraries in all of our schools. We took the first step within the scope of the project in a very short time. With an investment of 26 million TL, we established 81 new libraries in 520 provinces, at least in one school in each city. Our preparations continue to establish 2021 new libraries in 480. "

Emphasizing that the schools selected within the scope of the project will enrich the educational environment, Özer said that within this framework, they strengthened the laboratories and workshops in the schools and built new ones.

In 2021, 250 million TL will be allocated to those who are within the scope of retrofitting of these schools. Up to now, we have invested 50 million lira for the maintenance and repair of schools, 85 million lira for laboratories and workshops, and 26 million lira for libraries. With an additional investment of 161 million TL, an investment of 115 million TL is planned next year. We will continue our efforts to strengthen vocational education and to include the improvements made in all our schools. "
